rural poplars…

This is one of the few areas that I’ve seen in the state this year where the poplar trees don’t have a disease and had ‘normal’ foliage. This might be due to the fact this this region is in a very rain shadowed valley and didn’t receive the above average falls and flood events like elsewhere, hence the very dry appearing country side.

  1. Nice Rural scene Tony. Well spotted.

    • Cheers Ben – some pretty nice country over that way, we should go there someday..

  2. Subtle contrast in this shot Tony, nice composition and overall effect.

  3. Sheesh, I take off on business for a few days and you start pounding out winners ;). This and Autumn Grove are super solid images Tony. Love the comps in both and the separation in this one really makes this piece sing.

    Keep it up!!

  4. I like this shot Tony, I am really into these sorts of shots at the moment, but I just don’t seem to be able to find the right type of shot for myself. I’m so much more familiar with beach and water shots but I’m keen as to do some real landscape, hilly tree shots but I’m finding a little overwhelming to pick the right one to do.
I think I just have to stop thinking and just take some shots and then I’ll be right:) Just gotta get outta my head and into my camera lol

    • hi Andrea,
I think the best thing to do is to just get in your car and get out there for a drive and keep your eyes peeled for things that you like. If the light isn’t quite right keep it in mind and return when it will be.
      Best of luck,
      tone 🙂
