Luminous lines…

With a low pressure system some 1300km offshore to the ESE, a solid swell was pumping into the East coast. I jagged this image at dawn from Burleigh heads in SEQ on a gorgeous autumn morning. The sun was almost shining right through the waves, whilst the acute angle of it just above the horizon had it skimming off the ocean, the result was these insanely luminous waves when you got on just the perfect angle. Almost nothing done to this image at all – right time, right place and a super fast shutter speed on the 70-200 f2.8L has it sharp as a tack.
