reflections of gold…

I love shooting this location and I had the entire place to myself. I thought that I would take a set of image in my moment of serenity and bliss. Good thing that I did as I just after I ย shot this set a bus load of drinking backpackers rocked up and started clambering all over the boulders and mucking about in front of ‘my’ scene.

  1. Talk about a man on a mission! Great shot mate, I love those gold tones washing over the rocks and the reflections are great as well.

    • hey Jamie,
Thanks mate, great to read you are enjoying my images… I’ve been posting almost daily all year. I’ve got years of shooting, travelling and hiking to redo… ๐Ÿ™‚

      cheers,

  2. Nice golden light and great reflections Tony!

  4. totally blown me away with this photo Tony! Stunning

  5. Wow nice light and reflection!

  6. There’s so much in this amazing picture. The light on the rocks is inspiring just as the title says ‘gold’. The sand is so flat and smooth and the point where it merges with the water……it’s just beautiful. The water has a silky sheen to it which really stands out against the roughnes of the waves further out. The colour and structure of the hills in the distant background give contrast to the boulders and ‘support’ to the rest of the scene. Wow Tones, so beautiful.

    • hey Mat,
Those flat beaches can be a real gem on a low tide or outgoing tide, I knew that occurred at this spot from previous visits and shoots in the past so I wanted to add one of these back into my portfolio. And I’m pretty happy with this addition !

      cheers,

  7. you got gold for sure Tony. love it all. light we’d all kill for, amazing reflection and awesome granite boulders. great spot, great conditions and great shot! ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. Nice and clean mate, cool reflections too.

  9. Don’t you hate that…when you are out at a great location and people come in and sort of bomb it…with no consideration for the natural serenity!

    • I know ! This was a classic example… Once they started climbing the rocks etc I headed up the other end of the beach and by the time I set up and took one set there were people next to and in front of me take snap shots – sheeze….
