bottle tree trails – don’t believe the thumbnail…
Another shot from the Fuji – this an 8hr exposure capturing the earth’s rotation. If you look closely to the left side of the frame halfway up the sky you can make out a meteorite blazing south/downward through the exposure. This looks insane large !
The tree in focus here can often be mistaken for a ‘boab’ tree (adansonia gregorii) but is in fact a totally different tree. It’s a Qld bottle tree (brachychiton ruspestris) – I like these trees almost as much as boabs, so much so that I have the largest in Victoria in my yard 🙂
