So beautiful – So ugly…

So beautiful, So ugly – a Muph n Plutonic track that has no more to do with this image other than the title. I took this shot on a rainy morning near the Gammon ranges in SA. It is an image of Paterson’s Curse – a weed that prolificates after rain. Although a beautiful flower in it’s own right, it’s invasive and opportunistic nature in Australia classify it as a weed, hence my title. I like the detail in the fine ‘hairs’ of the flower as well as it’s vibrant colours. An interesting subject to look at in detail (like many things) when its raining and the light sucks for landscape photography.

  1. The title of the post sums it up nicely! Great image of a weed!

    • Yep – I’d never want to promote weeds or anything introduced to this country, but in it’s own right and more so in it’s native environ it would have it’s own beauty of nature… made for an interesting subject of this type anyway.

      cheers 🙂
