Spring thunderstorms…

Here’s another image from the 6th of October, this one was taken during the late morning as a couple of cells went up pretty fast…but not quite as fast as they were moving ! It developed a bit of a cool little outflow curvature feature for a little while before weakening. There was a few nice random CG’s and booms from it as it passed within 500m of my location.

  1. Great sky capture Tone.
They were saying we may see some snow down to 600m later this week 😦 the warmth has been nice.

    • Yeah it’s been lovely lately – back to a winter burst soon though… BoM were hinting at snow down to 1000m at the end of the wk… I haven’t analysed any models myself yet though.

  2. Awesome!

  3. Wow Tony. This photo has really captured me. It would have to be one of my favourites.

  4. Incredibly energy and brooding mood in the sky Tony – awesome stuff!

    • Thanks Tim – This one was trying to get going and briefly got photogenic (at this stage) before weakening, I love the curves/stirations on the outflow feature.
