Westernport poles

This is a photograph I took as a part of a recent jetties series I was collating from the local area. This particular spot is not very known and not visible from any roads. So I was pretty enthusiastic about finding it only this year ! After numerous trips on what I thought would be the optimum tide to shoot it on, trying to combine the hour walk and tide with what seemed like a good sunset (to little avail thus far) has been tedious as an optimum tide alignment also makes it harder to get too ! Though I still really like this one that I captured – nice soft blue’ish hues and tones in the late afternoon calm.

  1. Tone I love the great calm of the water and perfect composition of the jetty posts. Well worth the effort of the 1 hour walk to get there. I also love the white cloud in between the two pilons. Good work my friend.

  2. I agree with everything Casey said… great shot. Nice and simple composition and so effective.

  3. Thanks Casey and Matt ! I like it and will persist with the location for some different light and feel when the conditions come together… 🙂
